About Sea Festival

The Long Beach Sea Festival presented by Charter Communications is the three-month celebration of the Southern California experience highlighted in a series of beach, ocean and summer-fun events, will kick off its third – and most ambitious! – season.

First staged 50 years ago with a mere handful of events, Sea Festival showcases Long Beach, the Aquatic Capital of America, as a spectacular place to live in or visit and offers Southern California families – and countless thousands of visitors – an opportunity to turn a day at the beach into much more than just a dip in the ocean!

Sea Festival begins June 4 with the USA Swimming Open Water National Championships and wraps up with the Sept 10,11 and12 with the Urban Ocean Festival at the Aquarium of the Pacific and Lobster Festival at Marina Green. In between, Sea Festival offers a slate of around100 unique, family-oriented events, ranging from sand castle building to free Moonlight Movies on he Beach to boat racing….and virtually everything in between!
